Private, one-level living in a historic 1820 home just steps from Main Street Williamsville and the waterfall trails of Glen Park.

47 Reist Street, Williamsville, NY

Tucked on a quiet street just off Main Street, this 1820 home puts you within walking distance of the best of Williamsville. Head one way and you're at the entrance to Glen Park, home to a beautiful waterfall and miles of trails. Head the other and you're steps from Amherst State Park, with more trails and fishing along the creek. In between, you'll find St. Peter and Paul's Church, close to ten restaurants, three breweries, two ice cream parlors, and plenty of shopping, all within easy walking distance.

The house itself sits back from the bustle, facing a historic cemetery with a duck pond just to the side, so it's peaceful despite being so close to everything.

You'll have private access to the entire main level and outdoor spaces (the upstairs is closed off and not in use). That includes a double bedroom, a music and reading room that comfortably fits an air mattress for extra guests, a spacious living room, an eat-in kitchen, and a full bathroom with a washer and dryer. Outside, two porches and a patio dining area with a grill give you plenty of room to relax.

The backyard is a great spot for pets to stretch their legs, though please note it isn't fully fenced.

A quick note on the house itself: it dates back to 1820, with a few additions over the years, so nothing here is perfectly square. Floors and ceilings have a gentle slant, room transitions are uneven in places, and there's a step down into the bathroom off the kitchen, along with one step at the entrance. The decor leans into the home's age with antique, darker furniture, and the living room can run a little dim in summer with both porches shading the windows. If you love a home with real history and character, and don't mind a few old-house quirks, you'll feel right at home here.
